Testimonials

Your new book is a work of art. I loved it. I know you have a winner here. My favorite part was “Finding What Fits.”

They were such helpful questions, I was surprised at what some of my answers were. For example, in two areas I wanted to travel and paint all over the world.

One of the first things I would do if I won a lottery would be to buy a huge piece of the forest and do nothing but keep the environment the way it is. I realized that I felt very strongly about protecting mother earth.

I also found your statement about finding a support group to be true, it’s often not your immediate family who first gives you the support you need.

They will often come on board later, but usually by then you are more grounded and self assured in your own direction. It is when you first plan change that you need someone who believes in you. I have found that support comes to me from the most unexpected places, but it does come when I am moving on the right path.

I just read through your workbook. I like it very much, with several parts “speaking to me” in particular the thought, “How will you meet the need to be alone.”

We need to know that it is okay to be alone- society does not support that kind of thinking.

Section 14 “Celebrating Your Arrival” is excellent. The Action Steps in Section 12 are the key steps to me. It is important to have follow-through, revisit and adjust.

I like Section 11 where you note “common occupations for retirees”- these seem to be universal ideas.

Thank you for pointing out that we all have our own purpose and the importance of identification/recognition and moving forward.

On page 32, I particularly felt encouraged by your statement, “You are in new territory, but….”

It does reinforce the courage to move forward, but also reminds me that time is on my side.

One thing I have learned is that this takes an investment of time (miracles/desired changes do not occur overnight), and your workbook sure puts me on the right track.

I thank you.

Because I am visually oriented—the collage of the future” idea is excellent for me.

Every page of your workbook is invaluable and is an excellent tool to move forward not only to retirement, but as a “life tool” to enable successful movement through all of our transitions/changes.

It is an exciting adventure. I would not hesitate to recommend your tremendous support to anyone I know or meet.

Thank you so much for all you have done. You are both an inspiration to me.
